Halloween: Scary and Funny
One of the holidays which Korean people are envious of may be Halloween day in western culture. Halloween also known as 'All Hallows' Eve' is a yearly celebration observed in a number of western countries on October 31st, the eve of the Western Christian feast of All Hallows. People believe that the dead wake up and ghost and phantom appear on that day. To trick the ghost and phantom, people wear costumes and put make-up on their faces like ghost. Halloween is world-wide festival to enjoy makeup and party.
Halloween is derived from 'Samhain' festival of the Celts. 'Samhain' was celebrated for worshiping the god of death and welcoming a new year. The Celts believed that November 1st was the departure of new year and phantoms of the dead came back to the real world in the night of October 31st. The Celts put on masks and had a bonfire to protect themselves from the ghost. After Rome took over the Celts, Christianity was introduced to Rome. November 1st was designated as All Hallow Day by Pope Boniface IV, therefore the day before All Hallow Day became All Hallow's Eve. That word were passed down and finally changed into 'Halloween' today.
During the holiday of Halloween, everyone enjoy this festival regardless of age and gender. People wear costume such as witch and put make-up on their faces like corps. The most famous custom on the Halloween Day is 'trick or treat' for children. Children with ghost costume go around the town and visit door to door, saying 'trick of treat' to each houses. Then, adults take their cute threat and give them candies. If some adults don't give them candies, children scribble on the windows of that house. But most houses prepare candies for children. On this day, scary pumpkin which is called as Jack-o'-lantern is often seen at many places. People prepare Jack-o'-lantern which is made from hollowed pumpkin for Halloween.
In Korea, Halloween was not that famous festival in the past. However, since 2000s it has started to spread out from children to adults. Every year, amusement parks such as Everland hold festivals and clubs host parties on the Halloween Day. But some conservative people feel uncomfortable about this because they think the Halloween is not ours but from other's.
Halloween is not that serious holiday. Everyone can just enjoy it for fun. Unlike Korean traditional holiday, Halloween is not family centered celebration. With friends, family and neighborhood, people completely absorbed in the Halloween party. They eat sweet candies, delicious food and dance together in the pleasant atmosphere of Halloween. Although today Halloween Day is degraded more commercially, it is a still representative festival in the west. It gives pleasure and chances to return to innocence of childhood to everyone.

I also especially like the part that you write about Korean's Halloween. And I like that you point out the difference between Korean traditional holiday and Halloween.

Although today Halloween Day is degraded more commercially~ : I did not see any clue about this fact before I read this sentence. To me, it is a little bit confusing because you explained nothing about Halloween's becoming commercial and just put completely new information at the end.
5. The one change you could make that would make the biggest improvement in this piece of writing is that I think your writing would be better and more interesting if you improve the third body paragraph which is about Korean's Halloween day. This paragraph is comparatively short and ends with the sentence which is an opposite to the overall voice of your writing. Maybe you can add more after this sentence in order to give more coherence and enrichment.

If you added additional information about how commercially Halloween has changed, it would be easier to understand. When I read the sentence, i couldn't figure out what commercial thing you mentioned and what you think. It made me little confused.
5. The one change you could make that would make the biggest improvement in this piece of writing is adding something to the 4th paragraph. If I were you, I would compare the Korean traditional day and Halloween in the 4th paragraph and talk about the commercial thing in the last paragraph. I think 4th paragraph is shorter than others. It's not a big deal but making lenth of paragraph similar is important in a manner of readability, i think.
