Change traditional to modern   Since James Watt invented the modern steamed engine, the environmental change of industry had been accelerated quickly. People got to drive a car instead of a horse-drawn carriage and machines replaced almost all animals for farming. These changes have had influences on our society too. Modern lifestyle, living alone and smaller families are the good examples of them. Then, what are the specific causes and effects of these changes?   First, less labor is necessary thanks to the development of machines. Before the industrial revolution, agriculture needed much labor usually coming from humans. So people gave birth to a lot of babies to add them to their labor for farming or other fields. But as people created the new machines that can work harder and more constantly, labor was not needed like before. As a result, this kind of change led people to reproduce less, and they have much smaller families than before.   Also, leaving for the city to find a job plays a role in changing our society. As the factories were usually built in the city, people flocked to the city where they could get more changes. To do this, they should leave their hometown and their families were forced to be separated. For this reason, the city dwellers cannot help living alone.   Lastly, the development and change have turned traditional lifestyle into modern one. Once people started to use the convenient system, they realized its efficiency and wanted to apply it to their daily life. So they invented many kinds of useful and efficient things like a car, a refrigerator, a washing machine, and so on. These inventions contribute to changing traditional lifestyle into modern.   For about a hundred years, great changes happened and had an effect on our society in many ways. These have the bright side such as convenience of modern lifestyle as well as the dark side like loneliness from living alone or smaller families. To live better based on the bright and dark sides, people should try to adjust to the rapid change properly.
