Jung, Yong Tae/ Assignment 4/ Tue 3,4

The causes of happiness.

People's reaction varies on the perspective. That is the reason why people feel happy or unhappy in the same situation. In other words, Happiness is finding, not coming. All people have hardships or troubles, but when they change the way they see the situation, they can find happiness. There were some ways to find happiness in our life.

The first way to find happiness is self-loving and self-trust. If you don't think yourself as precious or don't believe yourself, life will be really miserable. Because you lose confident about yourself, and usually people hate the person who doesn't exude confidence. However, if you are confident enough to draw people mind, you will have many people who like you and consequently, feel happy.

The second way to find happiness is having an attitude to be grateful for everything. Though it isn't easy to appreciate all the small things, when you figure out how the small thing is meaningful, you will find happiness in your daily life and feel pleasant. For example, you have a hard time to overcome your trouble and get over a lot of stress, but you know that during the trouble, there were many things you can learn.

The third way to find happiness is making your dream come true. Every people have a dream or a hope. Just dreaming is not happy at all, because if you just think everything will go well, that dream will remain always a dream that you couldn't achieve. However, if you try constantly to realize your dream, and finally it will be a reality, you feel really happy, because your life seems to be worthwhile. Hard work will pay off and patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.

In conclusion, happiness doesn't come to you. You have to find happiness by trusting yourself, loving yourself, knowing how to appreciate everything in your life, and accomplishing your dream. Following those ways, I'm entirely sure that your life will be pleasant and everything you do goes well.

    1. what I like about this piece of writing is that it is well structured, and clearly divided into equivalent parts.

    2. Your main point seems to be that living healthy, maintaining good relationships and studying bring about happiness to you.

    3. Thes particular words or lines struck me as powerful :

The second and the fourth paragraphs

You used effect connectors effectively, thus your essay could be logical and well-organized.

    4. Some things are't clear to me. These lines or parts could be improved :

The conclusion is well written, but it need to show your reflection or evaluation. I think it would be greater if it contains certain point of view.

    5. The one change you could make that you might need more powerful hook than the previous one. The phrase is acceptable, but not enough to gain attention.

    Have a nice weekend! :D

"The second way to find happiness is having an attitude to be grateful for everything." I think having a positive attitude is a great key to feel happiness.

    4. Some things aren't clear to me. These lines or parts could be improved(meaning not clear, supporting points missing, order seems mixed up, writing not lively):
I think if you explain or support your points a little more, your essay will be a lot more powerful.

    5. The one change you could make that would make the biggest imrpovement in this piece of writing is:
